Answers to Some of the Most Commonly Asked Questions
When a panel is formed, the manufacturer adds contours to retain the panels in shape. A dent from a hail, door, or other object distorts the contour. When we access the panel's backing, we use specially designed tools to gradually restore the contour to its original shape.
A crease is fixable if there is no paint damage in most cases.
The majority of door dents can be fixed quickly. Minor dents could take up to four hours to repair. Most hail damage repairs can be finished in 1-2 days. Really, it just depends on how severe the damage is.
The price of paintless dent repair varies based on the size of the dent. There are a number of variables including things like the size, number, and position of each dent. To get a fast online quote, check out our Quick Quote Form!

Your insurance provider may require you to get an inspection by a 3rd party or particular shop. However, the decision of where to get the damage fixed is entirely yours.
We won't file a Carfax report for your damage. In some circumstances, your insurance provider may notify Carfax if your car is totaled as a result of the damage. However, this is not the case for minor damage.

There are numerous ways to gain access to side damage. Factory holes in the door frame, window openings, and occasionally the door panel is removed. For roof panels,  the headliner can be lowered (modern headliners are all one-piece units, no fear of them sagging). The liners can also been taken out for the hood and trunk lids. Fender dents can sometimes be reached through the door area, by removing the headlamp unit, or by pulling out the inner fender.
The ability to fix a dent is not determined by the dent's total diameter. Instead, the depth, sharpness, location, and vehicle type are all considered. Sometimes a golf ball-sized dent is difficult to fix while a volleyball-sized dent is not.
No, your insurance premiums won't typically go up. A hail damage claim won't increase your insurance rates because hailstorms are considered as "Acts of God" and don't cause a raise in your insurance rates.
The cost of repair is very reasonable. The tools used are specially designed and don't affect the car's original paint. The PDR method also eliminates the need to touch up paint or apply fillers to your car, which would be necessary for a traditional body shop repair.
If you are not a certified PDR professional, it is strongly advised to avoid attempting to fix the dents on your own. You may end up unintentionally chipping paint or increasing the amount of dents, you run the risk of making the damage worse than it already is.
No, using dry ice will have no effect on the damaged sheet metal and will instead damage the paint on your car.
The tiniest dents can be removed by heating or torching the sheet metal. The metal must, however, reach a temperature that will blister or burn the paint. In cases where the panel is overly cold, heat may be applied. Paint is prone to cracking when it is cold.
Sheet metal is incredibly hard and keeps its shape. A panel maintains its shape after being dented. It regains its initial strength after being repaired. Your dent won't reappear.
Depending on the state of the paint, classic automobiles from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s or newer can be repaired.Â
The cost of repairs for a car is determined by insurance companies using a set of metrics. They base their metrics on a few factors. How many, how big, and how deep the dents are on your car, and how many dents there are per panel. They calculate the cost to repair each panel on your car using this information. They advise replacing the panel if it is found that repairing the dents will cost more money than replacing the panel completely. They advise fixing the panel if it is less expensive than having it replaced. The majority of the time, even if the insurance company advises replacing a panel like a hood or roof, it is still something that can be repaired with paintless dent repair techniques, allowing for you to maintain your factory paint job.
If your vehicle was previously damaged, some insurance providers may refuse future claims on your car. It is advisable to fix any damage to your car as soon as possible. By doing so, you won't have any issues while submitting new insurance claims in the future.
Depending on your insurance provider, it may vary, but it is advisable to file a claim within 30 days after the incident.
